Church Architectural Art Window Panels Decorative Colored Dome Stained Glass
One famous example of a stained glass dome is the one found in the United States Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., known as the "Brumidi Corridors." This dome features a frescoed, trompe-l'oeil dome with an oculus that allows natural light to shine through, creating a dramatic effect. While not composed entirely of stained glass, it's an excellent example of how stained glass and architectural design can be integrated to create a magnificent dome.
